Is East Africa on your mind? Do you dream about the landscape, the people, the beautiful language? Travel, at this time, might not be an option but SLA can bring the language to you! Please join the HSA for Introduction to Swahili, a 1-hour, fun, and interactive language class brought to you on Zoom. This is a one-time class on Saturday, October 10th from 7:00-8:00 PM

Swahili is spoken by an estimated 100-150 million people. The language is predominantly spoken in East Africa. Mwalimu Hamdy will be our host. He is from Kenya and currently lives in the Philippines. Hamdy has been teaching Swahili online for over 5 years and has taught Swahili students from all over the world. If you have watched the Lion King or played the building game Jenga, you already know some Swahili words! Join us for an evening of learning, discovery, and fun.

The class is open to students, parents, alumni, and community. The minimum donation is $15.00. Please register and submit your donation HERE. A zoom link will be sent after payment.
